Main Film andVidéographe joined forces in April 2017, pooling together their equipment holdings.
Members of both organizations will now be able to access equipment from a single location, including specialized tools for digital and analogue production.
Focusing on dissemination and distribution,Vidéographe will maintain its projection, digitization and post production equipment in its own space.
By pooling their equipment holdings,Vidéographe and Main Film hope to simplify artists’ access to the wide range of tools they require, building on our complementarity to offer improved services.
Through this collaboration, we hope to contribute to the strength of the media arts community and to effectively support its artists.
We would like to thank the Canada Council for the Arts for their contribution to the development of this partnership through the Leadership for Change program. We would also like to thank Spira and La Bande Video for their valuable input.
A key part of our mandate is to ease financial and technical constraints on independent filmmakers in the production of their films.
As such, we offer artists access to a wide range of professional and trusted equipment at very affordable rates.
