Planning to make a documentary film on a limited budget, but want to maintain a high production standard? This workshop offers various methods to optimize your resources with a small budget.  From pre-production to post-production, all pragmatic questions will be addressed and very practical examples will be revealed by an experienced documentary producer.

The workshop will be given in French but questions may be asked in English.

Caroline Galipeau (Maestro Films)

Caroline has a degree in Film Studies from Concordia University. She has worked in several film festivals and has traveled across Canada with Québec Cinéma to promote national cinema. She has produced web series (L’Atelier Pierre Thibault, On verra ça en post-prod!), short and feature films (Apnée, Pile ou face, Claire l’hiver, L.A Tea Time…) with the Coop ON EST 10 and her own company Maestro Films. She now focuses on counselling and offers mentoring services to emerging producers. Her goal is to provide them with the tools and knowledge they need to get started on the production of their first project, that will reach a wide public.
