
12 Jun Job offer: Equipment technical coordination assistant
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Reservation of mobile and fixed equipment and preparation of outings – camera kits / lens kits / sound / lighting / etc. – for rentals. – for rentals;
- Verification, maintenance, cleaning and minor repairs of shooting and post-production equipment (including analog);
- Coordination and follow-up of equipment maintenance and repairs performed externally;
- All administrative responsibilities related to mobile and fixed equipment, such as: booking estimates, rental invoices, maintenance management, research for new acquisitions, etc. Also membership and subscription of new members and renewals;
- Coordination and follow-up of equipment needs for Main Film training workshops and creative support programs;
- Advise members on equipment rental choices;
- General information to members on the organization, its activities, mandate, missions and access policies;
- Be able to operate analog equipment (film scanning / transfers / camera tests / use of optical printer / darkroom);
- Assist the team in all tasks related to the center’s activities and smooth running;
- Any other activities deemed useful for the smooth running of the organization.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- University degree in film (or equivalent experience)
- Sound knowledge of the film industry, related realities, equipment and the realities of filming;
- Provide advanced technical support to members for digital/analog equipment;
- Good knowledge of communications and computer skills (Mac environment)
- Excellent interpersonal and writing skills;
- Bilingualism French – English.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Permanent position of 30h/week over 4 days
- Salary: $20/hour for the first yearIdeally,
- the person benefits from a salary subsidy (with letter of eligibility)
- Vacation: 4 weeks (2 weeks at Christmas in the first year + 2 additional weeks after one year of continuous service)
- Face-to-face work required – Monday to Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Occasional attendance at events required
