This workshop is a must if you want to produce your projects professionally! In 12 hours, this training course will cover all stages of production: from finding funding to post-production, it will equip you with the essential knowledge and skills you need to create a short film. This will enable you to self-produce more easily, while staying true to your artistic vision and limiting risk-taking.
The workshop will be given in French but questions may be asked in English.

With a bachelor’s degree in Cultural and Media Production Strategies and a certificate in Screenwriting from UQAM, Amélie joined Némésis Films in 2018, immediately after completing her studies, where she quickly distinguished herself as a production coordinator. She then took over the company’s emerging division, where she supports new voices in the development and production of their projects.
Among her most recent productions are the short film L’été des chaleurs by Marie-Pier Dupuis (2023 — ARTE Award, Brussels Short Film Festival; Telluride Film Festival), the feature film Irlande cahier bleu by Olivier Godin (ACCQ Award — Caméra Lucida, Fantasia, 2023), and the short film Les faux sapins by Justine Martin (Saguenay International Short Film Festival — REGARD, 2025, Palm Springs International Short Film Festival, 2025).
In 2024, she received support from Telefilm Canada’s Talents en vue programme to produce Fios da Terra, Kayla Fragman’s first feature-length documentary, which will be shot in the Azores in the summer of 2025. Amélie is currently developing several documentary projects, including Haute saison by Sarah Baril Gaudet, Les dimanches, Justine Martin’s first feature film, and Corps-à-corps, Romane Garant Chartrand’s upcoming short film.
Our fiction cycle continues all winter! See the full schedule here.
