Discreet on the airwaves, documentary podcasts are gaining increasing prominence on radio schedules, festivals and the Internet. They enable documentary filmmakers to explore new creative avenues and develop their storytelling skills.
In this workshop, you will take a look at the different stages involved in producing a project integrating various narrative forms as well as how to prepare a short interview and choose your equipment. Also, you will have the opportunity to produce a short form of sound documentary between the three parts of the workshop.
You will thus acquire all the tools you need to design and produce your own podcasts!
Workshop is given in French but questions may be asked in English.

Anik Magny
Born in Boucherville to parents originally from Haiti, Anik has always been fascinated by the world of cinema and communications. That’s why she decided to study communications at Concordia University. Following her bachelor’s degree, she worked at Zone3 for over a decade, in television production. At the same time, she hosted corporate events, as well as the documentary series L’Art érotique, on ATRV (2016).
In 2019, in light of key social movements such as BLM, she decided to devote herself entirely to the content and production of socially engaged projects. She works with the National Film Board, Yzanakio, Catbird Productions, Intuitive Pictures and Terre Innue, as associate producer, content producer and executive producer. In the fall of 2021, she begins a new chapter in her career at Radio-Canada Ohdio, as Digital Audio Project Manager. Podcasts will become her new vector of communication and creation.
