Director, producer and editor, Joëlle Arseneau‘s cinematic career has always been centered on people and encounters. She studied cinema and management at university in Montreal. In 2009, Joëlle founded Le pied marin to produce films with complete creative independence, respecting the vision of their creators. Today, she continues to work as an independent producer, while remaining fully committed to her film projects. Joëlle is also a recipient of the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television’s (ACCT) National Apprenticeship Program, which has enabled her to carry out numerous internships in editing on a wide range of productions. Her instinctive interest in documentary gradually broadened to include fiction. En tête de ligne (2020) is the first feature film she co-signed as director and producer. Since fall 2022, Joëlle has been teaching film production at Université Laval.
