OK Pedersen, born in Chicago, is an artist and filmmaker of Iraqi descent now living in Montreal. Moving back and forth between analogue, digital, captured and found media, her image-making practice is a search for coincidences that point to the cyclical nature of being. She received her MFA in Photography from Concordia University, and has taught courses in analogue darkroom photography, digital photography, creative nonfiction writing, and documentary media. She is the 2022 recipient of Dazibao’s Jeune tête d’affiche prize, and recent exhibitions include La Lumière Collective (2022), RIDM (2022), Maison de la Culture Janine-Sutto (2023), Dazibao (2024), and abroad.
