Scriptwriting is an essential element of the creative process. During this 12 hours workshop, you will be encouraged to structure your ideas, take a personal point of view and develop your narrative style. Particular attention will be dedicated to the validity of characters and dialogues. This course immerses you in the heart of the practice while promoting your reflection. Time will also be allocated to discuss your own projects and study how to integrate these techniques into your film.
Workshop is given in French but questions may be asked in English.
You must send a page describing your draft script before March 2nd.

Frédérique Proulx
A graduate of the 2015 Cinema program, Screenwriter profile, and of the ProSeries program at Screenwriting U in Los Angeles, Frédérique has written more than twenty short films in English and French, including “Clara”, “Scuse” for which she also directed, and “Le Piment”, which was selected in more than one hundred international film festivals. “IRV9”, her most recent feature-length screenplay, reached the semi-finals of the Stage 32 Sci-fi Fantasy Screenwriting Contest.

- Wearing a mask is at the discretion of the participants. However, Main Film recommends that you wear it at least when you go inside.
- Participants will be required to disinfect themselves upon entering the center and before touching the equipment. A hydroalcoholic solution will be provided.
- Participants will be asked to limit their movements.
