Nicolas Krief

Born to a Jewish Tunisian father and a Quebecois mother, Nicolas Krief is the result of an unexpected cultural and genetic mix. A screenwriter and passionate cinephile, he has written several projects released in 2020, including the series Les Fleuristes, as well as Jusqu’au déclin, the first Quebec feature film produced for Netflix. To date, the film has racked up over 30 million views on the famous platform. 2022 saw the release of his second feature as co-writer: Très Belle Journée, the first Quebec film shot entirely on a cell phone. Gamma Rays, his third feature as screenwriter, had its world premiere at the 2023 edition of the prestigious San Sebastian Film Festival. The themes of identity blending, cultural heritage and filiation are dear to the author, who is currently working on several genre film projects, TV series, and on Le Prince, a feature-length adaptation of his short film Opération Carcajou, released in 2021.
