Mentoring sessions are designed to give you in-depth support in the production of your film.

A seasoned producer will review your brief and meet with you one-on-one for an hour to discuss the artistic and logistical challenges involved. She’ll also help you develop a compelling pitch that conveys the best image of your project. In just a few words, you’ll be able to attract the interest of future supporters!

The mentoring meeting will take place virtually in March and April 2025.

Dominique Dussault (Nemesis Films)

Dominique has been producing at Nemesis Films since 2014 and took over as President in 2020. Her second feature film, Nadia, Butterfly, directed by Pascal Plante, was part of the 2020 official selection at the Cannes Film Festival, in addition to being selected for several international festivals, including Busan, Karlovy Vary and Warsaw. Dominique has established herself as one of Canada’s most promising producers. She has won the Prix Vincent-Gabriele 2022 de la relève, awarded by the Association québécoise des producteurs médiatiques (AQPM), the Prix Kevin Tierney 2021 for Best Emerging Producer, awarded by the Canadian Media Producers Association (CMPA), and the Best Emerging Producer 2019 award at the Fantasia International Film Festival. Her latest feature Les chambres rouges was the opening film at the 2023 Fantasia International Film Festival, where it garnered five awards, including the Cheval Noir for Best Film.

 

 

Geneviève Gosselin (Le Foyer Films)

Geneviève Gosselin-G. is a Montreal-based producer interested in auteur cinema, with a keen interest in poetic and/or political films. She started her company Le Foyer Films in 2019 and has produced over 10 short films since 2013. In 2023, she completed the Canada-France co-production of Pier-Philippe Chevigny’s first feature, Richelieu (Tribeca, Karlovy Vary). Marianne Métivier’s first feature film, Une splendeur de vivre (Torino Feature Lab 2023, TIFF Filmmaker Lab 2021) is currently in post-production. Her projects have been screened at some of the world’s most prestigious film festivals, including the Berlinale, TIFF, Karlovy Vary, Tribeca, Busan, Vancouver, Namur and others.
